Twenty-Fourth Wedding Anniversary

This — our twenty-fourth wedding anniversary — is apparently associated with musical instruments and tanzanite, a blue/purple gemstone found only in one place on Earth (near the city of Arusha and Mount Kilimanjaro). Tanzanite is noted for its remarkably strong trichroism, appearing alternately sapphire blue, violet and burgundy depending on crystal orientation. Given my penchant for playing musical instruments and the episcopal ring I wear containing a blue gemstone, this precursor to our silver anniversary next year (my preferred metal) bodes well.

If I could go back in time today,
Way before we met,
I’d search and find you right away,
To form our loving duet.
